Elliot was sick with a fever and wheezing cough. Doc put him on a nebuliser to help his lungs. He hated the nebuliser at first, but after we try to bride him with a jelly after the session, he kinda got used to have to use it. Just some fake crying and whining to make us bring out the jelly. Now he is up, running and jumping, singing and dancing already :)

As we are going home (SIN) soon, we brought our stuff and winter clothings to the Cimarron Recreation Centre to sell at the garage sale. It was fun, we managed to collect about USD100 from our so call junks. :)

Elliot had so much fun there. He even made friend with a little girl. He spent almost the whole time playing with her when we were there. When he sees her photo, he'll asked for her saying "I want friend."

Managed to get this documented (I didn;t get to document Elliot's). Meimei is doing very well eating her cereals and vege puree (not from the jars ok, I made them myself these time, I felt bad cos no excuse for SAHM not make baby food. Besides baby jar food are so expensive, I can buy a bag of organic carrots, from the money I spend on a jar of baby food which can only last 2-3 feeds).

Elliot was a little surprise and a little jealous at the beginning. He even wanted us to feed him when he was having his meals (for those who are unaware, Elliot feeds himself now). He is used to seeing me do that now though. I even tried offering him the green beans puree ( as he does not take vege now), thinking I might be able to make him eat some, but he ran away. :( At least he knows that I am not favoring Meimei over him, and I am actually feeding her yucky stuff :P

Elliot loves to go out (which kid doesn't). But over here, the weather can be crazy. No doubt there's 4 seasons, one moment it can be super duper hot this week, next week can be cold and I have to dig out the winter clothes again. So its hard for me to bring him out. Whenever weather permits, we'll take a walk outside to get our letters from the mail box and Elliot will requested to "walk 1 round", that is how exactly he would say it. We'll take a walk around the apartments which only takes about 5minutes and he would feel so happy to be able to do that.

I'm trying to venture out abit, bringing my 2 kids out to the nearby park without the car. Elliot gets to have some fun at the park while Mummy and Meimei gets an opportunity to be out of the house. Now that Elliot is older, I realised he gets bored of his toys easily and needs to run and play outside more. So I'm trying to bring him out for walks more often, whenever weather and schedule permits.

Bought Elliot a watering can, thinking he would love to play with it when he's bathing. It was a nice day that day and Meimei and Daddy were napping, so I brought out Meimei's tub, filled it with water and grab a few toys and brought it outside our apartment for Elliot to have some water play. However, we ended up watering the plants outside our apartment, but I think he had alot of fun playing with his new watering can.

Meimei turned 4 months old! Mummy decided to shave off her hair as her hair was dropping everywhere. SHe even has a big hairless patch on the back of her head. Though she is botak now, but I think she look so much better without her hair... maybe she should continue to keep her hair this way :P

Brought Elliot to meet his idols at the Nokia theatre in Dallas. He was actually very surprised and shocked to see his idols live on stage. After getting over the shock, he sang and danced to the songs and really enjoyed the show. Till now, he would tell me, " See Elmo, I like." I think we really make him happy that day, and that's what matter most. :)

Time really flies, about 2 years ago, when we first came to US, Elliot was in this walker, roaming around every corner of the living room. Now 2 years later, its Meimei in the walker! She can hardly roam though, as her legs are too short to reach the floor.

When I took out the walker, Elliot thought it was his new toy, he explores the buttons more then Meimei does.. Seeing Meimei having so much fun sitting inside, he tries to climb in when Meimei was not sitting.

As for Meimei, she seems more interested to look at Elliot pressing those buttons then being in a walker. When I try to take photos of them, she just can't take her eyes off my camera.

We are in ducky park again! But this time other then feeding the ducks, we get to fly kite, my Elmo kite! It was the very first time Mummy get to fly a kite too. Recently Elliot has been very into pretend play, I guess its something he learn from school. This is one of it, playing birthday. He stacked the, urm.. what do u call those?... blocks??? anyway I call them stack stack, and pretend its a cake with a candle and blow the candle after saying happy birthday . He would "distribute his cake" by saying his friends names one after another, and then eat his "cake". :)

On Xmas eve morning, we went to a celebration at Daddy's workplace. There were Santa Claus, Santarina and our friends there. However, I was alittle under the weather as I had diarrhea the day before, so I wasn't my usual self that day, even though I try to be on my best.

In the evening, we had steamboat for dinner with Daddy's 2 friends from work. After that we went for a drive to see Xmas lightings around the neighbourhood, and we did took some very nice pictures with them too :).

He is kinda curious about Meimei Emily at first. Then it became hatred and jealousy when he realises Mummy spends alot of time with Meimei, always holding her so tightly in her arms. He would try to ignore her presence as if she doesn't exist at all.

When he realises Meimei is not going anywhere, he kinda starts to accept and adore her. He would kiss and 'sayang" her whenever he remembers to. He would ask about Meimei wherabouts if he didn't get to see her. He would tell Mummy that Meimei is crying in case Mummy did not hear her cries. He would even help Mummy puts the blanket on Meimei and give Meimei her pacifier when Mummy is busy in the kitchen.

However when he feels that Meimei is trying to snatch his Mummy away, he would try his best to get his Mummy back.

A trip to the Grapevine Historic Downtown

As Grandma, xiao gu & Jiejie is going home soon, Mummy decided to plan a trip for them to Grapevine Historic Downtown and a train ride to the Stockyard in Fort Worth, its a kinda of a must see place if you are in Dallas, Texas. There was a Xmas event going on in Grapevine Historic Downtown too. But it turned out to be a bad day for all of us... we were there late as Daddy made a wrong turn, and when we reached there we had to have a very fast lunch as it was about time to board the train, however we waited for more then an hr to board, the train was down due to some technical failure, and we had to get down and got nowhere to go, wanted to go have a late lunch, but the place was closed! All these made Daddy very angry and I became very cranky and grouchy as I missed my nap. We didn't get to go where we planned and all had a bad day.

Meimei (7 days old in Children Hospital/ Dallas for 10 days)

Meimei was sick when she was 7 days old. She was diagnosed with RSV, Respiratory syncytial virus, a major cause of respiratory illness in young children. RSV causes infection of the lungs and breathing passages. We suspected that she probably got it from KorKor Elliot as he was very sick that time. She was admitted for 10 days and this made us very busy as we have to take turns to take care of her even when I was doing my confinement. Daddy did most of the night shifts and Mummy helped out in the day so Daddy could go back home and have a good rest before going back to continue his shift everyday. Though Elliot didn't have to do any shifts, he was quite poor thing too. Mummy couldn't put him to bed everyday and when he got up from his nap, Mummy has sneaked off to look after Meimei in the hospital.

Mummy: Happy to have a new baby, Missed Elliot very much, Tired cos been surfing net and not resting while in the hospital.

Daddy: Tired cos he has to take care of Elliot and handle him at night when he wakes up and cry for Mummy. Happy cos he has a new baby now.

Elliot: Misses mummy very much but forget about it when he visits Mummy in the hospital when he sees the food Mummy kept for him from her meals. As for Meimei... he didn't care a single bit about her.

That day, it was 30th October 2008, a Thursday and Elliot was having a Halloween Party in class and I was supposed to help the Mom who was the volunteer for the event. I wanted to be there very badlyas it was the first party Elliot is attending in school and I wanted to be there for him. Though I was having contractions, which is very normal, some would call it Braxton Hicks, which means fake contractions, and it usually occurs near the due date, Its not painful, just minor discomfort.

After I got home from the party, the contraction continues and was getting closer... and when it doesn't go away and interval between each contraction gets closer... it could mean labour is about to start. I was still contemplating if I should go to the hospital or wait, and maybe if I can have my dinner before I go in. As usually I won't be allowed to eat till I delivered... and who knows how long I would have to wait, when I had a 16hrs + labour when I had Elliot... 16 hrs without food is a torture for a pregnant woman and I am still considered pregnant as the baby was not out yet.

Anyway... I decided to go to the hospital when the contraction was about 5mins apart.. finally...Finally after much persuasion from my friend on msn. And yes, I was still able to msn at that time. When we were about to leave... we couldn't start the car and spent another 20-30mins trying to find help.

Reach the hospital at 530pm and the nurses check on my contraction and I did need to be hospitalise as I was going into labour soon. After all the Eeee and Ahhh... Meimei Emily was finally borned on 31st October 2008, 0030am.

What I did in school?

Every week, teacher teaches us different alphabets and numbers. We sing and dance on Tuesday and Wednesday, and on Thursday, we attend chapel. Sometimes teacher will switch on some educational programs for us to watch too. Every month, we learn a new colour, and we even have to dress up in that colour for school. We also get to play outside at the playground when the weather is good. If its raining or cold, we'll stay inside the school and head for the gym to play. My favourite time in school is snack and lunch time! Teacher give us yummy snacks and my favourite juice to drink during snack time and Mummy made my lunch whenever I go to school.

Teacher leaves a note in my folder for Mummy and Daddy everyday, to let them know how I did in school for the day. In this way, they would knowif I have eaten all my lunch or behave well in school. Teacher even tell Mummy and Daddy she wanna bring my home!

I love school! School is fun!
