Some babies need a pacifier or pillow to soothe themselves to sleep. Elliot needs our hand, either one of our hand to help him fall asleep. He just needs our hand to be in his cot, without it he can't fall asleep and he'll cry for it. When he wakes up in the middle of the night, he'll look for our hand and usually mine cos I sleeps next to his cot. And due to the long period of stretching my hand over to his cot, I get bruises and aches by leaning against the panels of his cot. Our hands really perform "magic", so comforting and soothing to him, it helps him to stay asleep through the night.

I have an idea, try putting a fake hand into his cot and see if it works. hehehe....
cin i thot abt it too! but i think fake hand dun have warmth lor... he is very clever now, cannot leh
